I can't play new video games. I want old Nintendo so I can play the Mario games. I like your basic left-right-up down and screw the rest of it. I remember this one time a guy took me to some special arcade to play a virtual reality game and I literally had a panic attack. The control panel looked like something from NASA.

Fuck Your Corporate Fascist Beauty Standards / Amanda Palmer
Here is the latest video by Amanda Palmer for "Leeds United." She reports that Roadrunner Records asked her to re-edit the video to cut out shots of her belly , because she looks "too fat." She reportedly told them to "fuck off." When even the little guy labels are asking for this it's shameful. Good for her for calling them out and not giving in - here it is unedited:

NEWS: Ben Nichols Title Track "The Last Pale Light In The West"
Just Bringing You News:
(Quoted from band materials) Lucero frontman Ben Nichols is releasing his highly anticipated solo debut album, a “mini-LP” titled The Last Pale Light in the West, this January 2009 via Liberty & Lament / The Rebel Group. Nichols entered the studio this past August with Rick Steff (Cat Power, Lucero) and Todd Beene (Glossary) to record this seven track mini-LP which features songs inspired from the Cormac McCarthy book Blood Meridian. The mini-LP displays Nichols signature gravelly voice accompanied by his acoustic guitar and complimented by Steff’s perfectly placed piano and accordion parts, as well as Beene’s subtle pedal steel guitar.

One Of My Favorite Bands - Boss Hog Return
After an multi year hiatus Boss Hog (Mr. and Mrs. Jon Spencer and Christina Martinez) make their triumphant return to the stage. The band allegedly will be playing NYC's All Tomorrow's Parties, and December 17 at the Bowery Ballroom in N.Y.C. Opening the festivities will be a burlesque performance by Harvest Moon and Dirty Martini, and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. One can only hope there are more announcements to come...
