Trailer: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (Iranian Vampire Film)
A Girl Walks Home at Night is the first Iranian Vampire Film. Written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, the trailer looks like a cross between Film Noir and Feminist Theory. According to the website the film based on the Comic / Graphic Novel is " A sheer pleasure of pulp. A joyful mash-up of genre, archetype, and iconography, its prolific influences span spaghetti westerns, graphic novels, horror films, and the Iranian New Wave. Amped by a mix of Iranian rock, techno, and Morricone-inspired riffs, the film’s airy, anamorphic, black-and-white aesthetic combines the simmering tension of Sergio Leone with the weird surrealism of David Lynch." Sounds good to me. This Vice Films releas date is November 21 and I can't wait to see it.
