Patternist is gaining momentum with their single "New Fashion."
Patternist’s previous single “Gone” was recently added to Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and garnered 50k + plays. Patternist has also licensed music to several television shows and companies, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians, MTV’s Real World, and Discovery Networks.
The band has been receiving some hype of late and comparisons to M83, which I don't find accurate. Their music, at least the promotional video for "New Fashion" leans a bit too heavily on the Pop side for me. That's not always a bad thing, but this isn't my cup of tea. What do YOU think?
Here is what the important people are saying:
“I'm struck by how distinct "New Fashion"'s aesthetic is. This song has hooks but it has genuine atmosphere. It has a sound that is rooted in the past, but it knows who it is today. And with music like this, Patternist has officially become an artist to watch.” Don Saas , Baeble Music
“Loaded with the kind of sparking, massive hooks that will remind many of the more pop-oriented side of the new romantic scene 30 years ago, Patternist’s new single “New Fashion” is shamelessly wide-eyed. Irresistibly so…” Popmatters
