The following is an early rough cut of Nirvana performing "Negative Creep" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" live. This footage is, obviously, different from that eventually used in the Dave Markey film, 1991 The Year Punk Broke.
Dave Markey, director of the film 1991 The Year Punk Broke, was kind enough to post this rare Nirvana footage and allow embedding. Old punk rocker and all around good guy, Markey took this footage from analog VHS tape and transfered it via a tape editing system. Rumor has it that the DVD and extras are ready to go, but "someone" is holding up the proceedings. There is a facebook and myspace group assembled to petition for the release of the dvd. Have a look on those sites if you wish to add your voice to the choir.
