The Return Of Shelley Short

Shelley Short returns with a new album, (said to be inspired by Melanie, Ron Davies, Jake Thackray, Kris Kristofferson, Nino Rota, and David Lynch), October 13. The record, produced by Short and Alexis Gideon will be issued by Husg Records, and features contributions by Rachel Blumberg (The Decemberists, M. Ward, Norfolk and Western), legendary upright bass player Glen Moore (Oregon, Nancy King), and electric guitar virtuoso Alexis Gideon (Princess, White Hinterland).

Bio:
Shelley Short has been a busy and inspired woman since releasing her shimmering debut, Captain Wild Horse (Rides The Heart Of Tomorrow), in 2006. She left Chicago to move back to her hometown of Portland, Oregon and has been on the road opening for M. Ward, Loudon Wainright III, Whispertown 2000, Laura Gibson and more. In addition to contributing vocals to albums by Tom Brosseau, Norfolk & Western and Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, to name a few, she's been part of the Tom Brosseau touring band.
