Third Man Records Likes You and You, But Possibly Not You

A message from Third man Records and info regarding a second pressing of "Hang You From the Heavens" by The Dead Weather.

"A mighty thanks to all of the smiley-faced vinyl pilgrims who spent the first four hours of Third Man Records’ retail existence pushing legitimate, tangible paper US currency into our hands…and even the one fella who rounded off his purchase with some quarters and dimes. The vinyl was un-literally flying off the shelves. The fact you all were calm, patient and formed a single-file line without us even having to ask just reminds us that we’ve got the best friends in the world.

We here at Third Man have our chests pumping from the adrenaline of selling out of 2000 copies of our first release (the Dead Weather’s “Hang You From the Heavens”) in a mere matter of days. We’re so electrified that the second pressing, complete with Poe-worthy, bird-talon back cover artwork is already at the factory."

And a word on the future:
"7” singles from reclusive milquetoast goth Mildred (White's wife?) and the fanciful vaudevillian Rachelle Garniez will no doubt turn your frontal lobe into a veritable steaming pile of gleeful goo. Yes, they’re that amazing. These should be available so soon that we think we can smell them. Then again, it might just be the fumes."
