Free Smashing Pumpkins Album Download Will Be Offered

Billy Corgan began recording new music this week under the Smashing Pumpkins moniker. The record, which will be offered for free, was inspired by (the tarot card) "The Fool's Journey." The working title is Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, and has an alleged 44 tracks which will be released for free download individually. In commenting about the direction of the record, Corgan alluded that the sound would be like that of his prior release Gish.

Regarding the project, Billy Corgan commented, ""Free will mean free, which means you won't have to sign up for anything, give an email address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish."

11 four-song EPs and a box set will also be available.
