A limited edition 7" "Come Monday" is.out in the U.K. - backed with a new track 'Howard Jones is My Mozart' You may purchase it via www.belleandsebastianshop.com. The two tracks on the single will be available from iTunes beginning May 18.
God Help The Girl
The album is released in the U.K. on Monday June 22, by Rough Trade, and June 23 via Matador in the USA and Canada. It features fourteen tracks including the singles, 'Come Monday Night' and 'Funny Little Frog' and initial copies in the U.K. come in a hardback booklet, which includes lyrics, credits and a short introductory story by Stuart Murdoch. It is also available in a gatefold vinyl edition, which comes with a download code. The album will be available from all the usual retailersand online.
GOD HELP THE GIRL - the subscription
Those who subscribe to the 'God Help The Girl' packagewill receive all the planned releases for the next few months, and more.
This includes the two 7" singles ('Come Monday Night' and it's successor, 'Funny Little Frog'), the deluxe version of the album and a five track 10 inch EP, Stills, which features non-album tracks, 'I'm In Love With the City,' 'He's a Loving Kind of Boy,' 'Stills,' 'Baby's Just Waiting' and 'The Psychiatrist Is In.' Subscribers will be supplied all digital content, including downloadable videos for the two singles, as well as documentary footage on the making of the album. FUNNY LITTLE FROG - the second single
Not out 'til July 20th - but another 7" and download release - Funny Little Frog is a version of the 2006 Belle and Sebastian single, sung by Brittany Stallings. Another new, non-album song, 'Mary's Market' appears on the b-side - and both are available to download / listen to on www.godhelpthegirl.com for now and the 7" will be available in July from the usual independent stores and www.belleandsebastianshop.com.
AND SOME OTHER STUFF!
On top of all this there will be a host of God Help The Girl activity throughout June - so keep in touch with the website for news of radio sessions, press features and the like - but if you are in the UK - you will be able to hear a one-off performance on the Marc Riley Show on BBC 6 Music on Thursday 18th June between 7 and 8.
