Canada's The Lovely Feathers announce their sophomore effort

Canadian band The Lovely Feathers announce their second album Fantasy of the Lot, available August 18 on Sparks Music/Tommy Boy. The album was recorded in Montreal’s Studio Plateau with Dan Lagace (Stars, Dears, Death from Above) and features eleven tracks.

Background info:
In 2006, The Lovely Feathers – Mark Kupfert, Mark Shortt, Richard Yanofsky, David Buzaglo and Ted Suss – released their debut album Hind Hind Legs . The band received raves from Pitchfork, SPIN, and Rolling Stone. Metric tapped the band to join them on a world tour. After the road, and a love spell from Cupid, the band took an “indefinite hiatus.” But they return in full force with what they hope will be an effort worth the wait. For this new release, the band "experimented with low cost tape recordings, transformed dining rooms into recording studios, and wrote music at anytime, anywhere."
