Much mystery surrounds the Portland based trio Faux Hoax, but then that just adds to the antici... pation, right? Faux Hoax (pronounced "Folks") consists of Danny Seim (Menomena), Dave Allen (Gang of Four), John Askew (Tracker), and features Joe Haege of 31Knots and Adam Gnade of Asthmatic Kitty. Your Friends Will Carry You Home , the debut 7" (mm smell the vinyl), will be available May 19 courtesy of the fine folks at Polyvinyl Record Co. There will be more material released, allegedly, but what and with whom remains to be seen. According to Seim, "The goal is to focus on a new project that involves all sorts of collaborators contributing to songs written by core Faux Hoax members."
