Well kids, it looks like John Waters won't be making a children's film after all. He had plans to make a Christmas film starring "Jackass" Johnny Knoxville, who appeared in A Low Down Dirty Shame. According to IMDB, Waters' axed the film Fruitcake because no studio would accept it.
Waters was quoted as saying "I can't get it made." And "It's a children's movie. I thought it would do well, but it's not." He further commented (in a way only he can), "I saw The Reader. Here's a movie that asked you to root for a paedophile Nazi guard. That got made."
There have been rumors of a Hairspray 2 musical (ugh) titled White Lipstick. But, I mean, come on, what musical named after a suppository gets the green light?
