Navegante

Navegante are profiled in this week's New York Magazine. They have an upcoming album titled Microcosmos on Rebel Ship Records June 19.

The band is fronted by Puerto Rican/Peruvian vocalist/composer/guitarist/cuatrista Jean Shepherd (Radio Mundial /Palm Pictures). You may have heard his song "La Raíz" covered by Carlos Santana as "El Fuego" on his album All That I Am. The band also features NYC's Wash Duke, the funk / Afrobeat / Latin drummer who fuses those styles with electronics. Guillo Colon (Yerbabuena) rounds out the trio on bass and synthesizers.

I will post an mp3 for “Todo O Nada” shortly - so check back.

In the meantime, if you live in Miami, check out one of the following shows:
May 5 Miami @ The Green Parrot (10 PM)
May 6 Miami @ Poprox (10 PM)
May 7 Miami @ Jazid (9:30 PM)
May 8 Miami @ Ecco (10 PM)
May 9 Miami @ The Electric Pickle (11 PM)
