word from the fine folks at ALR

*SING ME TO SLEEP - INDIE LULLABIES
We've begun pre-production on "Sing Me To Sleep" which will feature indie artists covering traditional and non-traditional lullabies for charity. We already have several outstanding artists confirmed and expect others from our wish-list to sign-on in the coming weeks. All proceeds from "Sing Me To Sleep" will be donated to "The Valerie Fund", a non-profit organization that provides support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders. *ALR CATALOG REVISITED
One of our favorite projects to produce was "Cinnamon Girl - Women Artists Cover Neil Young For Charity." Over 20 amazing female artists covered their favorite Neil Young song for our double-CD including; Tanya Donelly, Kristin Hersh, Lori McKenna, Britta Phillips, The Watson Twins, Veruca Salt, and Jill Sobule. To-date we've donated over $30,000 to Casting for Recovery (CFR), national non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer. CFR provides an opportunity for women whose lives have been profoundly affected by the disease to gather in a beautiful, natural setting and learn fly-fishing, "a sport for life." The weekend retreats incorporate counseling, educational services and the sport of fly-fishing to promote mental and physical healing. Please consider purchasing this CD. It's an outstanding tribute and for a very worthy cause. Buy it here: http://www.alr-music.com/shop.php
