Long time musician Scott McCaughey is set to release two albums on July 7. The albums will be The Minus 5's Killingsworth and the Young Fresh Fellows, I Think This Is. According to reports, The Decemberists lent quite a hand in this recording. Yep Roc writes "his incarnation sees Peter and Scott joined by Decemberist John Moen on drums as well as assists from near 'bout all those damn Decemberists including Colin Meloy, Chris Funk, Nate Query and Jenny Conlee. Tucker Jackson handles the rampant pedal steel duties and The She Bee Gees contribute many a backing vocal."
Trivia:
He founded The Young Fresh Fellows, masterminded the Minus 5 (like, in a lab or something), project-managed Tuatara, served as Director of the Division of Stringed Assassins for Robyn Hitchcock's Venus 3, and sat in with R.E.M. for over a decade.
over the years the M5 has included Ken Stringfellow and John Auer, Jeff, John, Glenn and Leroy of Wilco.
I Think This Is was produced by friend and collaborator Robyn Hitchcock.
