Flaming Lips Message

A Message From Kliph

Hello there, all you lovely Flaming Lips friends!

Our beloved cosmic brethren, STARDEATH AND WHITE DWARFS, have a new album coming out soon. Very soon, in fact. It's called "The Birth" and you can pick up the vinyl (which includes a free digital download card) starting this Tuesday, May 19. It will also be available on all digital download outlets that day. But, if you happen to be turntable-challenged and/or you don't have an iTunes account, the CD will be out on Tuesday, June 9. Yep, the vinyl is out first to give all you hipsters first crack at it. I know many of you have seen them on tour with us over the last several years and have wanted a Stardeath record to call your very own. Now (well, soon) is your chance. It's been a few years in the making, but they wanted to make sure they got it done right before unleashing it on an unsuspecting public. The Age Of The Freak is truly here, people.

Words can't even begin to express how much we all love this record. On our latest trip up to the studio, we listened to it 3 times from start to finish. It has 10 songs on it and they are all great. No filler here, folks. I mean, how can you go wrong with an album that has a song called "Smoking Pot Makes Me Not Want To Kill Myself"?

If you absolutely can't wait, you can check out a couple of their songs at stardeathandwhitedwarfs.com or at myspace.com/stardeath. But, trust me, you're gonna wanna get the whole album.

You can also check out their brand new video for "New Heat" right here. It was lovingly directed by Wayne and expertly edited by George Salisbury, the winning team behind such record-breaking blockbusters as "UFOs At The Zoo", "Christmas On Mars" and a video for "I Was Zapped By The Lucky Super Rainbow" that never got finished.

You can also see them on tour everywhere this year. Head Dwarf, Dennis Coyne, learned a thing or two about hard work from uncle Wayne and they will be touring relentlessly. Do yourself a favor and go see them when they come to your town.

So, once again, "The Birth" is the name of the brand spanking new debut album by Stardeath And White Dwarfs. Out soon on Warner Bros. Records and CDs. The aural equivalent to smoking too much pot and laying out in the sun too long. It hurts so good.

Have a wonderful day!

Your pal,
Kliph
