David Daniell and Douglas McCombs

David Daniell and Douglas McCombs will release their first collaborative album, Sycamore, August 18. This is a Thrill Jockey limited release, will be out on vinyl and cd, and is described as avante garde.

Daniell has collaborated with Thurston Moore, Loren Connors, Rhys Chatham, Tim Barnes, Jeph Jerman, Greg Davis, and Jonathan Kane, and the band San Agustin. McCombs plays bass for Eleventh Dream Day, Pullman, and Tortoise. He also works with Brokeback, and has performed with Tom Ze, Azita Youseffi, Will Oldham, Yo La Tengo, and Calexico.

David Daniell and Douglas McCombs first met in early 2006 while touring as members of Rhys Chatham\'s six-guitar Die Donnergötter band.
