Canadian Pop Chanteuse Jenn Grant

Jenn Grant will have a full length release, Echoes, on on Six Shooter Records "this fall".

Press release:
Echoes was recorded and mixed with a full analog process at The Studio at Puck’s Farm in Schomberg, Ontario – a location which is a throwback to a quieter, more simplistic time much like the three-stoplight town it is located in. Grant and her band - Goldsmith, Kinley Dowling (violin), David Christenson (bass clarinet), Sean MacGillivray (bass), and Gary Craig (drums/percussion) – utilized the tranquil setting of the studio to craft the 11 tracks featured on the record. The warm yet rustic sounds of the album are perfectly complimented by Grant’s vocals and the result is a collection of sincere and personal songs filled with heartbreak, love and a touch of whimsy.

Grant first burst onto the Canadian music scene in 2007 with her debut full-length Orchestra for the Moon on which she collaborated with talented musicians Ron Sexsmith and Matt Mays. The album earned her four-star reviews in Harp and The Globe and Mail (Canada’s largest-circulation national newspaper) among others, and the Toronto Star called the release a “critical smash”. It wasn’t long before Grant found herself quickly climbing the indie-pop ranks to tour and share the stage with musical peers The Weakerthans, Great Lake Swimmers, and Hayden.
