Danny Chaimson was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. His album, Young Blood, Old Soul
, has been described as channeling everyone from Otis Redding, Dr. John, and The Ohio Players. The album's rhythm section worked with De La Soul, Kelis, and Alicia Keys. THe record is a love letter to sweet home Chicago and deals with Chaimson's move to L.A. and return back home to "the windy city."The album opens with "LA, LA" and includes "Bobblehead Girls", which deal with Chaimson's perception of the "vapid and artificial LA scene." By the record's close, Danny's praises the virtues of Chi-town on the album's single, "Cold Night In Chicago," and "Old Friends," as well as "Raise 'Em Up."
